OASE UK, a leading supplier of high-quality pond equipment, has recently announced a series of free webinars that aim to help pond keepers improve their knowledge and skills. These webinars are designed to assist hobbyists to learn more about their ponds and enjoy them to the fullest.
The online sessions will be conducted by professionals from the OASE Academy and will cover various topics such as pond filters, algae issues, pondless water features, underwater and pressure filters, and much more. The webinars will last for approximately 65-70 minutes each, and interested participants can log in from the comfort of their own homes.
According to Paul Martin, Head of UK training at OASE UK, the webinars are designed to help pond keepers have positive experiences when it comes to owning a pond or water feature. He believes that if people can learn the right techniques for maintaining their ponds, they are more likely to enjoy their hobby and the fish they’re keeping.
Paul said; “The goal of the OASE Academy and these webinars is to help people enjoy their ponds. We know that once people have a bad experience with their ponds, be it algae issues or in the worst cases losing their fish, they are more likely to give up on the hobby entirely. If we can give everyone the hints and tips to succeed; from choosing where to build their pond, to choosing the right pumps and filters, to maintaining the water, they are more likely to enjoy their ponds and the fish they’re keeping.
“We all know the importance of connecting with our living environment and we want to promote this. Maintaining my Koi pond isn’t a chore – it’s a pleasure to take care of my fish as I’m taking care of something that is actually taking care of me. When I’m cleaning my filter I’m actively engaging with my Koi and it’s my little moment of calm. We want everyone to be able to experience this joy and understand the benefits of keeping fish and water. Fundamentally we want to give everyone the positive experiences of owning a pond or water feature.”
