At the recent North Of England Koi Show, pond window specialists, CWD Sandbach, auctioned one of their railways sleeper pond kits, including a display window. The auction proved extremely popular and raised a total of £3,420, all of which has been donated directly to the Sue Ryder charity.
Carl Drennan, owner of CWD Sandbach, came up with idea of doing the pond build at the show to demonstrate just how easy it was to build a pond and install a window. He built the pond single handedly, and with a helping hand from his father-in-law, Graham, also fitted the display window on site.
Carl said; “Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, a bereavement or a neurological condition. I’d like to say a big thank you to all those who bid helping to raise a huge amount for this great cause. It was great to meet so many of you at the North of England Koi Show!”
